Workgroups which contribute to the achievement of organizational
objectives are established within the company. Such that, each
sub-unit contributes to the achievement of organizational objectives
by performing the jobs in its field of responsibility.

that the human resources are more effective, efficient and compatible.

A solid structure requires the description of roles and jobs in
the company. Since there is an extreme acceleration in the growth
of information, the organizational structure is not static and
should therefore be reviewed according to changing conditions
and needs. H.R. therefore, tries to ensure that the organizational

This topic defines the process of employee recruitment for operations
with identified human resources needs; with the purpose of availing
Ekol Lojistik A.S. with well educated, energetic,
dynamic human resources with a potential to develop personal skills
and to improve job processes, who are open to innovations and change,
and willing to work in team spirit.
The main principle of the recruitment and employment activity is
to give an equal opportunity, without making any discrimination
and distinction, and ensure equal promotion possibilities to people
who are competent in view of knowledge, skills and behaviors required
by the job; and who will adopt, and keep alive, the values of Ekol Lojistik A.S.
WAGE POLICY
The Company's wage policy aims to increase employee performance
and quality by applying a wage system based on an in-service competition
which targets perfection. Wages, therefore, are determined according
to the competency and performance of the employees, and market conditions.
Wage increases are realized twice a year in March and in September
with the purpose of keeping track with actual market trends and
rewarding increased performance. A market wage inquiry is carried
out prior to each wage increase period.
PROMOTION
Ekol is planning to implement a Performance System, structured
on the principle of analyzing personal achievements for an increased
future performance of employees, in 2004. With the Performance System,
personal goals will be directly linked with the Company's strategic
objectives; thus, it'll be ensured that employees realize the goals
set for them, and develop the basic competencies required for success
in business life. Employee career development plans will be made
in accordance with the results of the Performance System, and a
suitable environment will be created within the Company for inter-
departmental job rotation and proper chances of promotion.
TRAINING PROGRAMS
It is the objective of Ekol Lojistik A.S., to
increase efficiency continuously by ensuring that all Company employees
receive more practical and theoretical professional knowledge concerning
their jobs, gain job skills, and enhance their personal skills for
further responsibilities and potential
initiatives for progress.
The aim of the Training and Development System designed to be implemented
throughout Ekol, is to increase employee's added value in the organization
by ensuring both personal development and process improvement. Ekol
gives equal training and development chances to all its employees
through training programs.
The basic objective of training programs organized in the Company,
is to increase the technical knowledge and skill level of employees
in their present jobs, and to supply technical knowledge and skills
which will be required by them in their next job anticipated in
their Career Plans.
