He was born in Ayancik, Sinop on December 25, 1969 and completed his primary and secondary education in Sinop.
He took part in establishment phase of Ekol’s first abroad company in Bobfingen, Germany as from 1996 and held office as General Manager of Ekol Germany between the years 2005 and 2009.
Having personally engaged with all import planning and railway transportation operations in Germany, Burhan Üstün contributed greatly to the realization of Ekol’s very first block train organization in 2008.
He returned to Turkey along with his wife in 2009 and took on the role of Export Planning Staff Trainer at Ekol in 2009 and 2010 prior to leading the Mercedes Project very same years.
Burhan Üstün continued to provide Import Planning Training in the early months of 2010, before he passed over on May 29, 2013 due to his long-standing illness.
The Ekol Germany headquarters in Cologne was named after him following his death, in commemoration of Burhan Üstün’s great contribution and efforts in establishment of Ekol Germany.
Late Burhan Üstün loved music, traveling and whatever is in the whole life in brief, along with Trabzonspor Football Club and we wish to respectfully commemorate him with his unforgettable characters, as well, as a beloved husband, as a trusted friend who was full of life, mercy and gratitude for his invaluable contributions to Ekol Family.
