Endeavoring especially for taking part in youth projects, Ekol became the sponsor for the Solar Car of Mersin University competing in "TUBITAK Formula G Solar Car Race" to be organized in İzmir from July 11 to 17. Mersin University team competing in the race aiming for attracting attention to solar energy with their car named Scarpion is very ambitious about ranking in top 3 this year.
The solar car race organized by TUBITAK for the first time in 2005 and for encouraging use of alternative energy resources and providing opportunity for young people to introduce their scientific projects is also a nice example of government-university-industry cooperation.
