Fast on its way to becoming Europe’s biggest intermodal provider, Ekol commenced unit train delivery operations between Trieste and Kiel. Shipments from Turkey to the northernmost point of Europe are delivered, on average, in seven days. With the newly operating line, Ro-Ro ships transfer trailers from Yalova, Izmir and Mersin. Items are then loaded onto trains in Trieste and forwarded to Kiel. From Kiel, items are forwarded on Ro-Ro ships to Oslo, Gothenburg, Malmö, and St. Petersburg.
