Ekol Logistics Enters Czech Republic
The leading 3PL company in Turkey – Ekol Logistics – enters the Czech Republic and makes the first investment in this country in the logistics sector.
Ekol Logistics keeps growing. Last month the company has announced the fact of entering Bulgaria and in April Ekol entered another European country – the Czech Republic. It is the 13th country where Ekol has established its own facilities.
Ekol Czech will offer intermodal solutions and road freight, not only FTL but groupage transport as well. It will be possible thanks to using the own wide Ekol network. Apart from the transport we will offer warehousing and customs services. We are planning that Ekol Czech will generate the turnover of 5,000,000 Euro in 2018 and the level of employment at this moment will be close to 40 employees.

Ekol Czech will open the first branch by end of June in the Prague area and it will reach operational and commercial readiness in the summer. Next steps is to open branch in Brno and it is planned for next year.
As the owner of 5 Ro-Ro vessels and the operator of 40 block trains (round trips) per week, Ekol wants to use its environment-friendly services to strengthen its presence in Europe.
It is worth mentioning that Ekol offers intermodal transport services and currently Ekol in the Czech Republic is also a part of this service as 4 times per week a train connects Trieste with Ostrava. The plan for 2016 is to increase this number to 6. Ekol Czech will develop intermodal transport using train connections within the existing EU lanes and will offer newly-built solutions within the EU territory.
Ekol is a dynamic and leading company founded on strong service pillars, for example its own trucks, trailers, containers and Ro-Ro vessels. A big advantage of Ekol is the advanced level of technologies which the company uses, for example the solutions developed by its own R&D. In a year or two, the company is planning to offer sea and air services in the territory of the Czech Republic as well.
Ekol is planning not only development in the Czech Republic but also in this region. In 2017 Ekol Logistics will open its own company in Slovakia as well.
