Ekol Logistics, a leading investor in the Turkish logistics industry, has named industry veteran Alper Bilgili as its Fleet General Manager.
Bilgili has been serving as Fleet Management General Manager at Mars Logistics since 2014 and served as Deputy General Manager between 2005 and 2014. He will begin to serve as Fleet General Manager at Ekol as of January 16, 2017. Bilgili previously worked as Operations Manager at Aras Cargo, and prior to that, as a Sales Specialist at Arkas Logistics. He began his professional career at Omsan Logistics.
Alper Bilgili graduated with a bachelor of science degree in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University in 1997. In 2000, he received a master of science degree in Transportation Engineering from Boğaziçi University, where he worked as a research assistant. He also has earned an MBA from Istanbul Technical University in 2001.
Bilgili is an experienced name in the industry and has been recognized with numerous awards, including the IRU Award for Top Road Transport Manager in 2011, and the ATLAS Award for Road Transport Manager of the Year in 2013 and 2015.
