Ekol Is Rewarded For Ethics!
Ekol Logistics is the winner of Turkey’s Ethics Award, Etika 2012, which has been given for the first time this year by the Ethical Values Center Association (EDMER)
Ekol, making a distinguished name for itself with its significant investments both in Europe and Turkey, continues to receive awards for its successful operations. Ekol Logistics has become the winner of the first ETİKA 2012 Turkey’s Ethics Award and received its award in a ceremony held on Thursday, 4th of April by the Ethical Values Center Association (EDMER) at Legacy Ottoman Otel in Sirkeci. EDMER aims to extend the ethical consciousness by awarding the companies and executives who praise the ethical values.
EDMER was established in 2011 for the purpose of creating and developing a consciousness in ethics and increasing the youth’s vision for the ethical values and code of business conduct in Turkey. EDMER has assessed the companies which responded to 84 questions in 6 categories namely, Ethical Values and Code of Conduct, Reputation Management, Corporate Governance, Corporate Social responsibility, Compliance Management, Leadership and Creativity. Companies which has conducted more than two third of the implementations according to international standards were granted the award.
In the ceremony, Ekol Logistics’ CEO Tayfun Öktem stated:
