Routes

In Intermodal transportation, Ekol trailers and containers are transported on Ro-Ro vessels from the Port of Yalova to the ports of Trieste and Lavrio, and from the Port of Alsancak to the Port of Trieste and Sete. From there, they are transported on unit train shuttles to Cologne, Ludwigshafen in Germany, to Zeebrugee in Belgium or to Kiel or to Ostrava in Czechia via Trieste, on unit trains to Paris via Sète, and to Spain, Portugal, and Western European countries by road.

Port Procedures

Tow trucks transport export trailers and containers to the ports of Haydarpaşa and Alsancak where Ekol’s Ro-Ro vessels are located, and they pick up the trailers and containers brought here to be imported.

The containers and trailers transported on Ro-Ro vessels are loaded onto Ekol unit trains by the field equipment without the use of the tow trucks to be processed for export transactions.

Procedures in Germany and Czechia

If the containers and trailers which are transported on unit trains are unloaded off the train in Germany, Ekol’s tow trucks take transport to Germany’s consolidation centers in Cologne, Ludwigshafen, or Kiel, or to the final delivery point determined for export procedures. Moreover, if they are unloaded in Ostrava, they are taken directly to the final delivery point. The containers and trailers which will be imported are brought to the terminal by Ekol’s Germany fleet.

Procedures in France

If the containers and trailers which are transported on unit trains are unloaded off the train in France, Ekol’s tow trucks transport them to to the final delivery point directly. The containers and trailers which carry imported goods are taken to the terminal by Ekol France.
