Osman Ünal Appointed As The Head Of Ekol’s Multinational Human Resources Organization

The industry veteran Osman Ünal is appointed as the Head of Human Resources at Ekol, which operates in 10 countries with a staff of 5000.

Having become the talk of the town through its investments in year 2013, and keeping pace of growth in 2014, Ekol appointed Osman Ünal as The Head of Human Resources.

Having born in Ankara in 1961, Osman Ünal graduated in 1984 from Hacettepe University, Department of Economics. His career began in 1988 at Koç Holding, as Human Resources Specialist; thereafter Ünal became the Personnel Director at Migros, and the Director of Human Resources. Following his departure from Koç Group, he served as the Director of Human Resources at Inchcape Retrans A.Ş., Burmah Castrol, Telsim Mobile Telecommunications and CarrefourSA, and the Director of Human Resources and Quality Systems at Soyak Holding.

Having managed the process through which Soyak Yapı received the National Quality Award, Ünal currently serves as the Board of Directors Member of and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of İzmir Branch of KalDer Quality Association of Turkey, and is a delegate in the “Equality Pays Off” workgroup of the European Commission.

In 2009, Osman Ünal became a “certified coach” after attending the relevant training, and in the period 2006-2009, served as the Board of Directors member of the Athletics Federation. Ünal is the recipient of “Kariyer.net Respect for Human Awards” for 3 consecutive years, and was awarded with the Honor Award on the occasion of 10th year of Kariyer.net. He is also married and is the father of two.
