Executive Board
Ekol’s dynamism and agility are rooted in its participative and horizontal management model. This approach is clearly felt at every level of the organization and across all operations, enabling the company to grow rapidly, efficiently, and effectively. Ekol is constantly refining its management model, steadily moving toward an optimal organizational structure. As part of this evolution, it continues to attract seasoned and talented professionals to its team. Maksude İshakoğlu holds a Master’s degree in Management Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU). She began her professional career at Türkiye Şişecam A.Ş. and later held positions at TNT, Omsan, Barsan, and Reysaş Logistics. In 2015, she joined Ekol Logistics.
At Ekol Logistics, she initially served as Director of Healthcare Sector Operations, later taking on leadership roles in National Distribution Operations, followed by Contract Logistics Operations as well as Solution Sales and Customer Management. As of the beginning of 2025, she has been serving as a Member of the Executive Board.

Melike Özeker completed her primary and secondary education in Antalya, Kütahya, and Konya before graduating from the Management Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University in 1984. She went on to earn her master’s degree from the same university, receiving the title of Chartered Engineer.
She began her professional career as a Software Engineer at Türkiye Şişe ve Cam Fabrikaları A.Ş. and later held various key roles at Boyner Holding over many years. She served as IT Manager and Director at Benetton, and later as IT Director for Beymen, Benetton, Divarese, and TBOX, where she led technology and system development initiatives. Following this, Özeker was appointed Operations Director within the same group, expanding her scope to include logistics operations, indirect procurement, administrative affairs, construction, and architectural projects, in addition to IT and systems development. During this time, she played an active role on the management team in key strategic initiatives such as group mergers, brand creation, joint ventures, company acquisitions, and private equity processes.
For the past nine years, Özeker has held several senior executive roles at Ekol Logistics. She currently leads the company’s AI-powered digital transformation strategies.
She is married with one child.

After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine, Mehtap Arslan conducted an extensive study of Germany’s Mental Health System. As an invited guest of the Municipality of Hamm, she analyzed the organizational structures and legal frameworks of various psychiatric hospitals, forensic psychiatry clinics, sheltered workplaces, rehabilitation centers, and related institutions.
In Turkey, she played an active role in the Ministry of Health’s transition to a Community-Based Mental Health System. Within this framework, she managed the Gündüz Hospital of Bakırköy Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Hospital for 12 years and also served as Deputy Chief Physician at the same institution for two years. During this period, she led efforts to establish the hospital’s corporate identity and culture, as well as to develop its internal and external communication strategies.
Currently serving as Head of the Psychiatry Department at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital and as a faculty member at the University of Health Sciences Faculty of Medicine, Arslan has been serving as a Member of the Executive Board at Ekol Logistics since March 2025.

İbrahim Buyruk was born in 1981 in Bolu, Türkiye, where he completed his primary and secondary education. In 1999, he was named one of the “75 Golden Youth” in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye, thanks to his outstanding university exam performance. He went on to study Industrial Engineering at Boğaziçi University, graduating with Honors in 2004. He continued his academic journey in Germany, earning a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Duisburg-Essen, with a focus on Production and Logistics, graduating with High Honors.
Buyruk began his professional career at Ekol Logistics in 2006 as a Process Development and Design Specialist/Responsible. Over the years, he held a series of key roles, including Process Development Manager, Business Development Director, and Director of Solution & Process Engineering. In 2022, he was appointed Leader of the Engineering Business Unit and Executive Board Member. In this role, he leads and oversees the Innovation Center, Project Management Office, Center of Excellence, Software Product Management, and Mechatronics functions under a unified structure.
In addition to his professional achievements, Buyruk has a strong background in sports. He has competed as a licensed athlete in both basketball and football. In 2012, he led the founding of Ekol’s corporate basketball team and, as team captain, guided them to Istanbul and Türkiye championships in the Corporate Basketball League.
He is married with two children.

Born in Istanbul in 1973, Murat Çevikbaş graduated from Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School in 1991 and went on to complete his higher education in Chemical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (ITU).
During the later years of his university studies, driven by his interest in software development, he co-founded the company Penta Bilgi İşlem with three friends, marking the start of his professional career. The company operated until 1999. Afterwards, together with his entire team, he played a leading role in establishing Ekol Logistics’ Information Technology Department.
At Ekol Logistics, Çevikbaş began his professional journey as IT Manager and later assumed the role of Technology Director. He currently serves as the Executive Board Member responsible for Technology.
Beyond his intensive professional life, Çevikbaş is an enthusiast of three-cushion billiards. During his high school and university years, he actively played guitar in music bands a passion he now continues as a dedicated listener and an audiophile within the HiFi world.

Burhanettin Aktaş was born in 1965 in Sivas, Türkiye, and graduated in 1987 from Ankara University’s Faculty of Political Science, with a degree in Labor Economics and Industrial Relations. Between 1998 and 2000, he earned a master’s degree in public administration from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy in the United States.
He began his professional career in 1988 as a Treasury Controller at the Undersecretariat of Treasury and was promoted to Chief Treasury Controller in 1998. Over the course of nearly three decades, from 1988 to 2015, Aktaş held a range of senior roles within the Treasury.
From 2015 to 2019, he served as Vice President at ECO Trade and Development Bank, representing Türkiye at the international level. As of February 2025, he has been serving as a Member of the Executive Board at Ekol Logistics.
Board of Directors

Ahmet Musul graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Istanbul University in 1987. He began his professional career at Unok Uluslararası Nakliyat A.Ş. and went on to found Ekol Logistics in 1990, where he continues to serve as Chairman of the Board. In addition to his role at Ekol, he founded Alternative Taşımacılık A.Ş. in 2013 and Yalova Ro-Ro Terminali A.Ş. in 2015 and currently holds the position of Chairman of the Board at both companies.

Galip Musul served in various roles at one of Türkiye’s leading banks over the course of his career. In 1999, while serving as Branch Manager in Bursa, he retired and joined Ekol Logistics the same year. Until 2007, he worked in the company’s Finance and Accounting Department. Since 2007, Musul has continued to serve as a Member of the Board of Directors at Ekol.

Rasim Kartal earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Middle East Technical University in 1998. He began his career in 2004, holding senior executive roles in several companies before joining Ekol Logistics in 2009. In 2014, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer, and since 2019, he has also served as a Member of the Board of Directors.
